Woman in Waterville Boldly Shoplifts

| November 12, 2013

WATERVILLE, Maine (AP) – Police are looking for a woman they say walked out of a supermarket with about $200 worth of food, despite employees of the store trying to stop her. Sgt. Brian Gardiner says the woman pushed the laden grocery cart out of the Hannaford store at about 4:15 p.m. Monday. He said she refused to listen to the store employees and got in a car and drove away. Gardiner says that employees did get the vehicle’s license plate number and gave investigators a good description of the woman. Police think the shoplifter was from the China area.
