Where can you snowmobile ride, cross country skii, snow shoe, and slide all in one place Aroostook State Park’s Winter Family Fun Day of course!
“I think it’s a great way to get everyone out, outside it’s a beautiful day,” says the Mosher family.
Decent temperatures and plenty of snow on the ground certainly worked in the parks favor on Saturday.
Aroostook State Park Manager Scott Thompson said, “We have family and friends coming to Maine’s first State Park to enjoy the winter activities that we offer and everyday during the winter.”
It’s a take it outside initiative that gets families to embrace the Winter Wonderland of Aroostook County; and this weekend over 700 people took advantage of that!
Judy Phair said, “It’s really great for the kids to get different things that they can get interested in for the winter time you know playing outside in the snow bank is one thing but the snow shoeing they got to try today, the snowmobling, sliding.”
Seth Phair said, “The next time that they do this I want to come here again because it’s just really fun.”
