The harvest break is over for the Easton Bears. The boys soccer team is the only undefeated team in the County and one of just two in Class D.
Easton Coach Ryan Shaw says it’s nice to be back on the field after a month layoff. The Bears are one of two undefeated teams in Eastern Maine Class D.
“Very exciting the kids are very excited. We hope to go on a run. You never know a lot of hard work and sometimes a little bit of luck in this game come playoff time. We are going to work hard to try and get some of that luck to go our way.”
The Bears last game was a month ago on September 16th. Several members of the team have been working during harvest and Coach Shaw is looking to get the team in shape for the playoffs.
” That’s a challenge. The last couple of years we kind of peaked right before harvest and never really got quite back. I think we have a dedicated group that is focused on that. I think over the next couple of weeks we will get our shape back and be ready when everything counts.”
