Two Arrested for Growing Marijuana

Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska, N.B.: Two men have been arrested in connection with an indoor marijuana growing operation.  According to the RCMP, Grand-Falls RCMP conducted a search of a residence in Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska.  There they found an indoor marijuana grow operation being dismantled.  Police seized 18 marijuana plants, a quantity of dried marijuana, growing equipment and other drug paraphernalia.  It is estimated the plants could have produced up to 9000 marijuana joints.  A 42-year-old man and a 44-year-old man, both from Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska, were arrested and later released on conditions. They are scheduled to appear in Edmundston Provincial Court again on July 9, 2014.
