Presque Isle, ME: The Aroostook Medical Center is inviting the community to help them “Welcome the World” to the County as they celebrate their fourth annual Red Dress Race and Polar Dip. Instead of the shooting and skiing that will be occurring across town at the biathlon championships, participants in the Red Dress Race and Polar Dip at TAMC will be running and plunging. Participants will meet in front of the Crown Ambulance base at the A. R. Gould Memorial Hospital campus prior to the start of the race which will take place Friday, February 28th at 2 P.M. For the first time, the public, in teams of two, is invited to join in this event. Teams are required to wear red dresses in support of February being heart health month. Two $100 prizes will be awarded to the team with the best costume, so creativity is encouraged. The team that finishes first will also earn a $100 prize. Anyone that wants to participate needs to fill out a registration form, then solicit sponsors to raise money for the internal employee wellness programs at TAMC. To register for the event, visit tamc.org. You can also pick up registration forms at the Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce.
