Nearly 80 homes could be relocated out of Perth Andover’s flood zone. That’s the announcement today from the New Brunswick Environment and Local Government Minister Bruce Fitch. Its good news for SOME homeowners, but where does that leave businesses. Shawn Cunningham reports.
The provincial government in Perth-Andover announced Thursday the mitigation measures to begin rebuilding the communities affected by that flood last March. The announcement stirred up quite a reaction. News Source 8’s Katie Zarrilli was there and has this report.
A public meeting was held last Thursday to talk about the possibility of relocating the entire town.
