Charges have been made in a hit and run that took place Monday afternoon. 20 year old Brandon Clark of Fort Fairfield has been charged with Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, Driving to Endanger, Failure to Maintain Control of a Motor Vehicle and Failure to Use Caution When Passing an Animal. The accident took place at about 3 o’clock Monday afternoon on Rt. 1A in Easton. A 16 year old male from the local Amish community was driving a horse and buggy when Clark struck the rear of the buggy. The buggy went off the road and was destroyed by the crash. The 16 year old driver was thrown from the buggy, but wasn’t injured. The horse wasn’t injured either. Clark, who was also not injured, did flee the scene, but was later found and his vehicle, a 2013 Volkswagen car was located. The car had significant damage to it from the crash.
