State Police Searching for Suspect After Two Bodies Discovered in Oakfield Home

Oakfield, ME – State Police are searching for a Houlton man after the deaths of two people and three separate fires that took place early this morning in Oakfield and Island Falls. The bodies of a man and woman were discovered inside a house by firefighters responding to the scene at 331 Oakfield-Smyrna Rd.

State Police are looking for 32 year old Matthew Davis of Houlton, who is considered armed and dangerous. Davis is 5’9” tall, weighs 165 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Two other fires were reported in Island Falls at Katahdin Forest Products and a pickup truck, at a third location. The fires are being investigated by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.

At this point the victim’s names are not being released. Anyone who has seen Davis should call State Police in Houlton at 532-5400, or 911 immediately.
