A team of cops have thrown a number of people in the slammer.  Arrests were made in the spirit of the annual Keystone Cops fundraiser.

Getting out of jail isn’t easy. But if you’re arrested by the Keystone Cops, doing time behind bars isn’t so bad.  That’s because everyone that’s booked, means more money for Kiwanis Club programs.

Dean Rauch, Kiwanis Club Secretary says, “such as scholarships, we have key clubs, we have Aroostook teen leadership, the it goes on. But our main thrust is our children in our community.”

Arrest warrants are sold for 10 dollars each. Then kiwanis club members will go make an arrest and put people from the community in jail, at the request of friends and co-workers for random offenses.

Rauch, “they’ll have to come before the judge, and if they are guilty, which mostly they are, I mean after all there’s a lot of guilt out there, um they’ll have to do the time.
