AARP says Bangor’s senior citizens live the good life, for less. The magazine recently published a story on the best places to retire on 30-thousand dollars a year. The Queen City is listed among other low-cost communities like Daytona Beach, Florida; Pocatello, Idaho and Greenville, South Carolina. The review touts an affordable breakfast from Geaghan’s, the Penobscot Theater Company, and nearby outdoor recreational opportunities. Bangor also made the Forbes list of best places to retire earlier this year.
