Lawyers for convicted triple murderer Thayne Ormsby had their say Monday afternoon in Maine’s Supreme Court. Ormsby’s attorneys are appealing his conviction.
Monday they argued a number of things. Most importantly they claim Ormsby’s miranda rights were violated AND his trial should have taken place in a different venue outside of where the crimes took place. Ormsby also contends that the court erred in imposing three concurrent life sentences on the murder convictions and a consecutive fifteen-year sentence on the arson conviction. Today’s hearing lasted roughly 25 minutes. No word on when a ruling will be made.
