Over the past few weeks, northern Maine has been experiencing unusually mild temperatures and dry weather conditions. In fact, over the past few days, the temperatures have been so mild that they have broken the records set for those dates. However, while the mild air may mean an early spring is on the way, it also means an early start to the fire season. Kelly O'Mara has more on how to stay safe.

About 1/4 of all homes sold in the state of Maine last year were financed through the USDA Rural Develpment Homeowner Program made possible through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Recently, those funds helped a family in Houlton purchase a brand new home. Kelly O'Mara has the story.
