A 4th of July parade in Bangor turned fatal this afternoon after a man was crushed by a truck, and killed instantly.
Bangor Police Chief Mark Hathaway confirmed that a man died after the tractor he was riding on, tipped over while making a turn, falling into the path of an antique fire truck. The accident happened on Water Street.
Both the tractor and fire truck were involved in the parade.
The identity of the man has not been released as of 3 pm.
