This month police in Fort Kent are reaching out to the public for help in cracking down on a burglary. News Source 8 Reporter Angela Christoforos has this month’s Crimestopper crime of the month….

On the morning of July 12, 2013 the Fort Kent Police Department was contacted in regards to a break in which had occurred at business offices of C.N.A Trucking and Northern Timber Trucking on Market Street in Fort Kent. Someone had forced their way into the business office by using a side door during the night of July 11-12th. It is believe the person was familiar with the operations of the business since only payroll was taken, totaling $21,000 in checks and cash. The items were in a drawer that the office does not lock. You do not have to give your name. Anyone providing information this month that leads to a grand jury indictment on this crime is eligible for a one thousand dollar award.
