Four people have been arrested and nearly 35 pounds of marijuana and $16,000 in cash have been seized following a three-month investigation. It began with the seizure of two and half pounds of marijuana last October in Carter’s Point. A 46-year-old Saint John man and a 45-year-old Saint John woman were arrested. Last Friday, two vehicles were intercepted in Lincoln, N.B. and fifteen pounds of marijuana was seized, along with $14,000 in cash. A 58-year-old Woodstock man and a 60-year-old Woodstock woman were arrested then. A further search of a Woodstock residence led to the seizure of 18 additional pounds of marijuana, and $1500 in cash. All four of those arrested have been released on conditions and are expected to appear in court at a later date.
