A Fort Kent man received serious injuries after stepping in front of a garbage truck in a parking lot on Market Street this morning.
According to Fiddlehead Focus, witnesses at the scene say a Saucier’s Sanitation truck was pulling into the Doris’ Cafe. Kevin Pelletier, 51, of Fort Kent, had just finished eating breakfast and was walking between parked cars and the building, and apparently didn’t see the truck.
According to police, Ken Saucier was driving the truck.

The truck’s front right wheel went over him, followed by two of the rear wheels.
Pelletier was transported to Northern Maine Medical Center by ambulance with serious injuries to his left leg.
