A logging truck was hit by a train today in Nashville Plantation at the intersection of Little Machias Road and the Pinkham Road. According to reports at the scene, the train missed the cab of the truck but ended up hitting the trailer with the logs on it. No injuries were reported. According to NewsSource 8 reporter Katie Zarrilli, the driver of the logging truck, Wayne Pelletier, heard the train’s whistle but was unable to stop in time. The truck is owned by CNA Trucking of Fort Kent. The train is owned by Maine Northern Railway and Christopher Labonte was the operator. We’ll have more tonight (Monday) on NewsSource 8 at 6:00.
