Shoppers hit the stores early on Christmas Eve to get those last minute gifts.
“I’m trying to get my grand kids Christmas presents, I just got paid today and its like rush, rush, rush, rush, rush,” said Sandra Scelza from Ashland.
“I waited until the last minute on accident,” added Melissa Taveras of Washburn.
Walmart Shift Manager Lisa Harvey has seen a certain demographic that seems to be the most common last minute shopper.
“The biggest part of our shoppers today are men, you’ll find them at the jewelry counter kind of rushing around with that lost look, what am I gonna get? ” Lisa Harvey said.
We set out to see if Lisa’s prediction was true. And these were the responses we got from men out shopping,
“Always a last minute shopper, never do today what you can put off until tomorrow,” replied Paul Durepo of Limestone.
“I usually come on Christmas Eve, I do all of my shopping and then it narrows it down, I don’t have to choose a color, I pick whatever one is left,” replied Craig Green of Presque Isle.
“I wait until the last minute and then I just think about something and I go get it,” replied Donald Belanger of Portage Lake.
If you are still looking for that perfect gift your not alone, however Craig Green want’s you to keep one thing in mind, “Uh well, if you don’t get here quick i’m going to buy what’s left.”
