Inmate Charged in Death of Fellow Inmate

State Police today formally charged Richard Stahursky with murder in connection with the stabbing death of a fellow inmate at the Maine State Prison Friday afternoon.   Stahursky will make his first appearance in Knox County Superior Court Thursday at 1 pm,  and he continues to be held at the prison. Detectives , working with the Maine Attorney General’s Office, filed paperwork at the court today and then notified Stahursky of the charge. 

 

Maine’s Deputy Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Mark  Flomenbaum, completed the autopsy on Micah Boland over the weekend and concluded Boland died as a result of “multiple stab wounds of face, neck, and torso with extensive hemorrhage and blunt impact of head with bone fractures and brain injury”.
