Ice Storm 2

Reinforcements are on the way from Nova Scotia, Canada, to Maine to help with efforts to restore power after last weekend’s ice storm.   Bangor Hydro Electric, which was reporting about 6,100 outages late Friday morning, said crews from its sister utilities in Canada were arriving in hopes of restoring power to as many customers as possible before another storm makes its way through the area.  A spokeswoman says it could be New Year’s Day before the lights are on for everyone in Hancock County.   Central Maine Power, which had 6,400 customers without power Friday morning, said it hoped to restore electricity to all accessible buildings and year-round customers by late Friday evening.
