A local army veteran is about to hike the entire length of the Appalachian Trail…but he isn’t just doing it for fun…he’s doing it to support local hero’s. NewsSource 8 reporter Kelly O’Mara explains.
And Peers will be leaving from Mt. Katahdin on June 2nd. Between now and then there are a few fundraisers. He will have donation jars in a few stores around the area, plus, on May 25th Peers will have a booth at Spud Speedway, there will be a fundraising car wash in Caribou May 26th and there will be a benefit supper on June 1st, the location hasn’t been confirmed yet.
