The Governor’s Energy Office conducted its weekly heating fuel price survey and found the current statewide average cash price for No. 2 heating oil was $3.88 per gallon, down a penny from last week, but an increase of five cents from last year at this time. Meanwhile, the average statewide price for kerosene went up a penny, to $4.30 per gallon, the same price as last year. And this week’s average statewide price for propane increased by 4 cents, to $3.51 per gallon. Last year at this time it was only $2.74.
