At about 1:45 a.m., Thursday morning, Aroostook County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a rollover vehicle crash on Route 1 in Frenchville, about one quarter mile from the Fort Kent line. Deputies found an orange, 2005 Dodge pick-up lying on its side, partially in the roadway. After an initial search of the area for the driver, 19-year-old Kendall A. Voisine was found at his residence in Frenchville. He was brought back to the scene of the crash, where he was evaluated by EMTs and found to have no injuries. Deputies determined Voisine lost control of his vehicle after crossing the railroad tracks, which caused the rear end of the vehicle to slide into a snowbank and roll onto its side. The vehicle sustained only minor damage but was towed away. Voisine was issued summonses for leaving the scene of an accident, operating after suspension and possession of alcohol by a minor. The accident remains under investigation and Voisine is scheduled to make his initial court appearance on March 3, 2014 in Fort Kent District Court.
