Baring it all for the greater good- that’s what the Lions Club out of Fort Kent is doing with a new 2-year souvenir calendar for sale to support the University of Maine at Fort Kent and 2 other charitable organizations, all in good taste of course!
Chair of the Lions Club Calendar Project Paul Berube said, “It’s a broad array of many local talented business people from the medical field, to the car salesman to the police chief to the commercial loan officer.”
Maybe a bit out of there element, but for all for a good cause- 3 of them in fact! Proceeds raised from calendar sales will go to LifeFlight of Maine, the Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Funder, and UMFK.
Chair of the Lions Club Calendar Project Paul Berube said, “I think the saying curiosity kills the cat and satisfaction brings it back people are just curious to see who had the courage to pose.”
And the calendar isn’t just eye candy, if you flip it around to the back there’s a whole line up of festivals and events leading up to the 2014 World Acadian Congress.
Chair of the Lions Club Calendar Project Paul Berube said, “It’s a funny calendar it’s all done in great taste, it’s done very professionally and probably some of the best photography you’ll ever see in Aroostook County.”
The Lions Club hopes to raise between 65 to 75 thousand dollars through the sale of these comical souvenir calendars. The calendars are being sold throughout the St. John Valley for $20 and they can also be purchased at this link -> http://www.facebook.com/pages/Fort-Kent-Maine-Lions-Club/179846162066976
