BANGOR, Maine (AP) – Police say they’ve arrested a 21-year-old man in the death of a woman in her home in Bangor
The Bangor Police Department found the woman’s body Monday afternoon after responding to a call about a domestic disturbance. Sgt. Catherine E. Rumsey said Zackery Mailloux of Bangor, formerly from Houlton, was arrested at an apartment house.
Mailloux graduated from Houlton High School in 2010, according to the BDN.
Rumsey said the victim has been identified as 21-year-old Brooke Locke, of Bangor. An autopsy was performed by the State Medical Examiner’s Office and the cause of death was determined to be strangulation and the manner of death has been ruled a homicide.”
Mailloux was being held at the Penobscot County Jail. His initial court appearance took place Tuesday afternoon at the Penobscot Judicial Center.
