Former Border Agent Settles Lawsuit

BANGOR, Maine (AP) – A former border agent in Maine has settled a lawsuit against the federal Homeland Security Department for $285,000. Rebecca Carnot claimed in her suit a supervisor told her a woman’s place was in the kitchen and also disparaged her Catholic beliefs. Carnot says she’s disappointed that nobody was disciplined over the incident.
