AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) – The family of a┬áTennessee woman that went missing while hiking the Appalachian Trail is offering $15,000 in exchange for information about her location.
George Largay, the husband of Geraldine Largay, and his family announced the reward on Tuesday.

Sixty-six year-old Largay went missing in July.

Maine game wardens scaled back their search for Largay in August. Wardens will wait for the leaves to fall and have aircraft fly over areas that weren’t searched.

George Largay had been providing supplies and support for his wife’s hike from Harpers Ferry, W.Va., to Maine’s Baxter State Park. He said she contacted him on July 21 from Saddleback Mountain and texted him again the following morning before disappearing.

Wardens say she was last seen wearing a red shirt, tan shorts and blue hat.
