UMPI presents the Purple Pinkie Project

The University of Maine at Presque Isle and the Rotary Clubs of Central Aroostook are teaming up to present the Purple Pinkie Project, in celebration of World Polio Day on Friday, Oct. 24 from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Center for Innovative Learning (formerly known as the Library) and locations throughout the community.  Tables will be set up at UMPI, NMCC, TAMC, and UMPI’s Houlton Higher Education Center, where volunteers will be on hand to color your pinkie…

Halloween Penny Carnival

Madawaska Recreation Department is hosting a fundraiser for the Madawaska P.T.A.  Kids will pay a $ 2.00 admission fee, which will give them a bag of tokens to play carnival games with.  the will win more tokens and be able to spend them at our Halloween Mini Market.  we have over 30 carnival games set up, along with a few bouncy houses. The Madawaska P.T.A. will also be having a costume judging contest with prizes to be won.
