Three college students were involved in an accident early Tuesday morning on Central Drive in Presque Isle. The Presque Isle Police Department responded to the crash at 2:47 Tuesday morning. 18 year old Rebecca Maxwell, of Presque Isle, was driving a 2005 Toyota Corolla when she tried to get her cell phone charger out from underneath her. She lost control of the car and crashed into a telephone pole. Her passengers were 19 year old Dylan Begin of Presque Isle, and 18 year old Dillon Rappleyea, both NMCC students. Maxwell and Begin were both wearing seat belts and refused medical assistance. Rappleyea, who was riding in the back of the car and was not wearing a seatbelt, did receive some minor face injuries and was transported to the hospital by Crown Ambulance. No one has been charged.
