Supporting a family who lost their beloved daughter just weeks ago. That’s why members of the community gathered together on Wednesday night at Fort Fairfield Elementary School.  A benefit supper was held to support the family of Abby Ladner, a Fort Fairfield native who tragically lost her life last month.

“When this tragic accident happened with Abby we decided that this would be a great way for the community to come together to show their love and support for the Ladner family during this time,” Said Event Coordinator Brooke Beaulieu.

The event was sponsored by White Smiles.  Brooke Beaulieu who is a Dental Assistant there told us, they wanted to hold this event to give back to the community and support the family of such a special young girl.

“An amazing girl, she did pageants, sports, you name it. She was very active in the community, very well known, so we thought that this would be a great opportunity to give back,” Said Brooke.

Friends of Abby also came out to support the family in their time of mourning.

“Abby was one of our best friends, and I’m still at a loss of words for what happened I can’t believe she is really gone..were out here to support her family,” Said Dankia Lockhart.

There was a silent auction held as well as a 50/50 raffle.  100% of the money raised will be given to Abby’s family to take care of any expenses the family has.  Brooke also told us that there is a scholarship fund being made in honor of Abby.
