Boat Landing Reopens

| June 12, 2014

St. Agatha – The Town of St Agatha announced  its Main Street Boat Landing is now reopened for the season.   Frequent users of the site will notice a number of improvements including increased the parking spaces to 17 including one that is ADA compliant, added a second ramp to unload boats, replaced the dock with a new system, added an ADA path to the water and improved the drainage for the site.

The Town of St Agatha has a 99 year lease with the Department of Conservation to maintain the site.  Last year the Town received grant funds from the Department of Conservation and the Northern Borders Regional Commission to make upgrades to the site.    Trombley Construction was the contractor and completed the work last week.

This boat landing is the main public access point for anyone wishing to get on Long Lake.  “These improvements are much needed for this site.  It is the primary access to Long Lake which includes St Agatha, Sinclair, St David and Van Buren Cove.   It is very busy in the summer.” Christy Sirois, Town Manager of St Agatha stated.
