They’re big, blue and ready to be eaten. It’s blueberry season and it’s in full swing!
“It’s been a fair season. Been a little bit dry. Been doing some irrigating, but overall it’s going to be an average crop. We’re not going to make a million dollars, but we’ll be able to pay our bills, says Owner of Circle B Farms, Sam Blackstone.
People have been coming to pick their own blueberries pretty steady since the season started July 25th. But, things have slowed down a little since some schools went back in session. Blackstone says they also have a truck on the road four days a week delivering blueberries to local grocery stores.
“Come pick blueberries, they’re here, they’re ripe, they’re ready,” says Blackstone.
Blackstone says the blueberry season will last through September. Then it’s time for Apples!
