PORTLAND, Maine (AP) – President Barack Obama is working to sell his middle-class tax-cut plan, telling WCSH-TV in an interview yesterday the plan would benefit thousands of families in Maine. The president compared his plan expanding the earned income and child care tax credits to Republicans’ proposal to repeal inheritance taxes on larger estates.
