Police, ambulance and fire and rescue crews were on the scene of an ATV accident this afternoon involving a 12-year-old boy from Denver, Colorado. It happened at the intersection of where the Heritage Trail crosses Hall Street near the ski tow. Witnesses say the boy, his twin brother, and his father, were traveling on separate ATV vehicles, when the 12-year- old’s four-wheeler overturned on a bank, trapping him facedown underneath, with his head under one of the wheels. The child was conscious and responsive when rescue crews tipped the ATV up off of him. He was placed on a stretcher for transport to Northern Maine Medical Center.
